What is HITCharts?

HITCharts consists of 104 sample, fictional, ambulatory medical records.  These fictional medical records can be used for coding practice at the beginning, intermediate and involved levels, medical record review, medical terminology review, anatomy/physiology review, etc.  Categories of the medical records include Physician Office, Emergency Department, Observation, Ambulatory Surgery, Chemotherapy Infusion, Pacemakers, Transfusions, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Interventional Radiology and Podiatry.

Disclaimer – This fictional medical record content was compiled by HITNOTS, LLC, as well as several consultants.  Please be aware that the medical record content was developed for educational purposes, and is totally fictitious.  Any similarity to a real person, living or dead, is incidental.  The medical content of these records may not be totally clinically accurate, and therefore should not be used as an example of diagnosis or treatment.  The medical record content should never be substituted for actual medical treatment.

You will have an opportunity to code each medical record using both the ICD-10-CM and CPT® coding systems, as well as HCPCS, in some cases.  Feedback will be provided for each coded medical record.

The Sample Fictional Medical Records will be available 24/7/365 for either 6 months or 12 months, depending on which plan you choose.  They can be accessed from your home computer or your mobile device, or anywhere that you can get the Internet.

What is HITCharts?

HITCharts is the premium content portion of HITNOTS, LLC.  HITCharts currently contains 104, fictional, ambulatory medical records.  The different types of medical records included are:

How much does it cost to access HITCharts?

The cost for HITCharts is $25 for six months access and $40 for 12 months access.  The enrollment time period begins on the day you enroll and ends exactly six months or 12 months later, depending on the plan you choose.  Once your time period is up, you will lose access.  You will not automatically be re-enrolled and re-charged.

 

Why does HITNOTS charge for this premium content?  The other items on HITNOTS are free.

In order to provide this medical record information, several consultants were used.    In addition, advanced web development was necessary.  These services are costly. Thus, in order to provide these special features, a minimal charge was necessary.

 

Why does HITCharts use Paypal? 

HITNOTS uses Paypal to process payments because of their secure technology and encryption.  In addition, Paypal has 24/7 security monitoring of transactions for both buyers and sellers.

HITNOTS, LLC never sees your financial information.  That is all handled through Paypal.

 

Can I have access to HITCharts for a different period of time, other than the 6-month or 12-month options?  

The only options available for access to HITCharts – 104  Ambulatory Medical Records are either the 6 or 12 month plans.  Your subscription begins on the day of your payment, and continues until exactly 6 months later, if you choose the 6 month plan ($25), or 12 months later if you choose the 12 month plan ($40).

 

Will I be able to code the medical records in HITCharts?

Yes.  By reviewing the ambulatory medical records, you will be able to code them.  The coding answers will be available for each medical record.

 

Can I make copies of the medical records?

You will be unable to make copies of any of the medical records.

 

How do I login to HITCharts?

You will login with your email address and a password that your create.

 

What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, there will be a link available for you to access.  The link will allow you to create a new password.
